Dr. Mahesh Patel

Principal Dentist

Dr. Patel graduated from Griffith University, and is dual qualified in both Australia and Canada. He has worked at various private practices all over Australia, ranging from a rural family practice in the Northern Territory, to thriving, relaxed practice in Byron Bay.

He regularly invests in his own professional education, and although is proficient in all the major fields of dentistry, has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry, implants, and surgery. He has also trained in many niche fields, including but not limited to; CAD-CAM Cerec, Facial Botox and Fillers, and Invisalign.

Dr. Patel is extremely passionate about improving the quality of life of his patients, and believes in comprehensive care for all. Whether it comes to improving the smile of a self-conscious patient, giving someone a proper set of functional tooth to eat, or calming a nervous, dental phobic patient he wants to make sure you know you will receive the best care available.

In his free time, he likes focusing on his health at the gym, volunteering, enjoying good food with friends and family, and loves going on adventures on his motorbike.

Jamelle Knight

Oral Health Therapist

Jamelle Knight is our female practitioner who has a special interest in paediatric, children with special needs, cosmetic and preventative dentistry. With three children of her own, Jamelle is very child focused, friendly, gentle and caring. Jamelle is passionate about alleviating dental fear and making your experience an enjoyable one. Her calm and compassionate nature is appreciated by her colleagues and her patients.

Jamelle was the recipient of the award for clinical excellence, is dual qualified, holds a Bachelor of Oral Health in Oral Health Therapy (Griffith University) and Honours in Advanced Clinical Practice (The University of Melbourne). She is well experienced having been a part of the dental industry for almost 20 years, continually studies, is a Queensland committee member for DHAA, volunteers for the Esesson Foundation and is committed to continual self-improvement to ensure her patients receive quality care.

Outside of Nexus, Jamelle spends quality time with her family and friends, enjoys the beaches of the GC and focuses on her health with Muay Thai training and the gym.
